Why we wrap presents...

As we get older we're lucky to get a gift - and as a giver, the bastards should be grateful that they're getting anything at all, god forbid they complain about the wrapping!

But sometimes it is necessary to go that extra length to give it a good candy-covered shell to give the receiver a glimmer of hope.

Hope that the gift inside is something nice;

Hope that they won't have to grimace and pretend to like it; and

Hope that they can take in back to a store and exchange it for something else.

The wrapping also provides the recipient a consolation gift - the wrapping paper - if the recipient unwrapped it nicely :)

I've broken not one, but TWO key rules to drinking:
1. I mixed beer and spirits
2. I didn't line my stomach before drinking

I just woke up needing to pee and obviously needing to chunder after
two hours of what I thought was sleep, but now reflecting on that,
seems more like I had passed out.

Yeah yeah I could have chosen not to go i but all the other phones Three is offering is shiets, not to mention I get 1Gig of free data for staying on my current plan, which also has cheaper call costs and flagfall than the new ones on offer.

I was decorating my house tonight... customising beds, tiles, walls and kitchen counters. I completed the entire bottom floor - very happy!

The game had some sort of read error and asked me if it should debug. GEES I don't know! Windows never was any good at debuggging, so I naturally clicked no... carry on, nothing to see here...

BUT, I think I was meant to click YES. And in a matter of seconds my house became this:

Simon & Garfunkel - Old Friends

Went to see Simon + Garfunkel tonight at the Acer Arena. I thought I would doze off cos I was so knackered already, and to be honest, I didn't know many of their songs.
















Surprisingly, there was no sleeping and the concert was really good~ (can't say the same for Nut, he slept when Art G- sung his solo songs). I was hoping Paul S would sing You can call me Al... but he didn't... his solo performance woke me up haha!

They did two encores! AND a third after we left!!! EVEN AFTER the lights were turned on >_<

It pays to know where you are...

Mornings that begin badly are usually due to:

• lack of clean socks;
• missing shoes;
• hour-long snoozing;
• arriving on time to an extra enthusiastic train; and
• arriving early to a tardy one.

This morning there were no socks and the train was pulling up as I got to the station! What made things worse was a couple of westy-bogans (not the traditional type) were talking so loudly that the whole carriage could hear.

Long story short: I left my scarf on the train, which fell off my lap as I got up to leave the carriage and only realised when I left the station gates.

I Stood there and pondered for a minute whether I should do anything about it or if I'd get it back.

Talked to the gate-guy.

Went back to the platform and talked to the white flag-waving peoples.

Told them:

the time the train arrived

where it was going

which carriage I was in

up or down?

2 or 3 seater?

front or back?

Moral of the story: know where you are - get your shit back!

Oh yeh, station-master-lady made a call and told me to wait. They found it at St James :)

I politely took the perfumey sample card from a sales lady, who relentlessly attacked me with the bottle!!! She sprayed two or three generous pumps on my left arm, and now I have a headache...

It STINKS.

It has white musk undertones with overpowering floral-ness... which I can only describe as 'fake happy'. I hate fake happy!

During lunch the smell of bacon kindly masked the smell... But I noticed too late and now the smell has ingrained itself in my nostrils!

I have scrubbed my arm with cheap soap (much more pleasant smell) twice, now I don't know what I'm smelling!
